We were told that we would receive a call “around 10” today confirming that we WOULD be doing the transfer today.
In the meantime, I had consumed myself with fear that none of our little embies had made it to Day 5…
I finally got the call at 10:35am / “around 10” that we WOULD be going through with the transfer! YAY! Unfortunately, we were not given any specifics about our embies…
When we got to the clinic for “check-in” our surro and her husband were already there. We were taken back into “the room” and proceeded to wait, and wait and wait. I just wanted to know how are embies were doing!
Finally, the embryologist came in, and gave us the much anticipated update:
There were 2 “pretty good” blastocysts; one grade AB and one grade BB. Sounds good to me! There was another that looked like it would continue to progress to day 6, and would likely make it to freeze, and the other 5 seemed to be growing fairly slowly, and might not make it that far.
At least we have the 2, and they were put into our surrogates warm, inviting uterus, and I’m sure getting ready to burrow into her cushy lining!
